Aims of the Association

To advance Education and Training throughout the Painting and Decorating Craft, including skills and related technology associated with interior and exterior decorating, commercial and industrial finishing and signwork.
To further the interests of all engaged in teaching, including enhancing or promoting the skills associated with the Craft.
To act as an informed and expert representative body with which National, Regional or Local training Organisations may consult on all matters connected with teaching of Painting, Decorating and allied technical, artistic and commercial skills.
To seek direct representation on appropriate National, Regional or Local Education, Training, Examination and Assessment bodies for curricular development.
To act as a receiving and disseminating centre for all information which is helpful to teachers of the Craft of Painting and Decorating.
To liaise with Employers Organisation(s) for recognition of curricular requirements and to provide them with both Technical and Educational support when required.
