The Association has always played a key part in the Competition Scene for apprentice Painters and Decorators. A long history has been established and to this day this is one of the main roles of those involved in the Management Committee to ensure that the groundwork for each of the annual competitions is put in place. These provide the students in colleges with the opportunity to take part in a variety of events and meet their fellow students from around the country. Progression from the National events can lead on to UK or even International Competitions.
